Harsh Times

I just finished reading the history of comments posted in IMDB.
At first they start off just being great comments but then you find a large amount of not medium but really really bad comments (by bad I mean the writer did not like the movie). People who didn't like the movie really felt strongly about it and the main criticism I found was that it was difficult to understand (or there was nothing to understand since it was so simplistic... "jobhunt").

For myself, this movie falls into a similar slot as Requium for a Dream. So you are either thinking "what a great movie that was" or "another piece of outright bu#@%@ that I did not understand".

No need to diss the movie based on what it is or isn't teaching you (hummm... drugs are bad). Both movies are masterpieces in my view (Requiem has the upper hand though).

No, I have never been a Christian Bale fan, didn't even enjoy Batman or The Prestige too much, and don't feel his presence overshadows the rest of the crew in this movie. He did a very good piece of acting here as did the rest of the group but I particularly applaud the director (and the cinematographic director). The way the movie is pieced together is crucial and very well done here.

In the words of Jim "I see dumb people".

p.s. the one thing I didn't like was: aren't they going to find the prints on the gun? ... ?
