The Nightmare Before Christmas
I spent last Christmas in Spain. And what does it have to do with the movie I'm gonna talk about? Well, I saw the movie there. But I saw it because nowadays its characters are surpisingly famous among young people. I mean, a lot. I saw Jack and Sally everywhere. But, why? I remember that when the movie was firstly released it wasn't a big success. So, my question was, is it temporarily in fashion, or is it really one of those big movies which survive as the time goes by?
Ok, I saw the movie. And I have to say two things. First thing: I'm pretty sure that most of the people that wears Sally's purses or Jack's t-shirts, to give a couple of examples of merchandising, either haven't seen the movie or haven't liked it that much, and they're just following the last tendences, and now is cool to be that way. Second thing: Although what I've just said the movie is awesome. I mean, it has something that current animation movies haven't, it is made from the heart, and its only purpose is to tell the love story between Jack and Sally and how Christmas was once close to disappear forever. Sometimes those movies that are not made to make money become with the past of time authentic masterpieces. Tim Burton is an expert in that kind of productions.
Anyone else sees how far is this movie from nowadays completely artificial animation cinema?
