Scarface

Ok, so here I write about a cinema giant, a classic, the famous Scarface.

I admit, Al Pacino is a great actor! He embodies this ruthless man who is determined to take over the world and he does it very well indeed... ok, now lets suppose he had not made such a great performance, what else would there be to the movie???? Not much really.
Even my favorite actress Michelle Pfeiffer... yes she does really perfect the movements involved in snorting coke but other than that???

...

My criticisms are a lack of character build up (for all except Al Pacino), and a rather shallow plot.

Lolita

My god this movie just never finished!! Don`t know how long it was but well over two hours.
Apart from the length issue, the other comment which I have must go something like: "My god, Stanley Kubrick has one screwed up mind!".
The movie is good, I appreciate how well it was made but the characters are really messed up! There is not one normal person! They all have some psychotic side... do we all??

The movie revolves around the passion of a man for an underage (what is she like 12 or something??) girl... Lolita. His obsession makes him do completely nonsentical and irrational things like marrying (which wouldn`t be so bad except for the fact that he marries the mother so he can be close to the daughter...), become extremely jelous, and overly protective... she, Lolita, on the other hand, is no angel either, practically copulating with every male she sees.

The movie is interesting and funny and scary and messed up... another Kubrick masterpiece.
